Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Laura Roebuck seeks to translate her impressions onto paper and canvas. She enjoys the abstraction of detail as she paints that lends itself to the whole of each piece. Color, pattern, and form come together to create an image that can be viewed as literal while maintaining the incommunicable quality of the abstract. The act of mark making in itself is joy.
